Saturday, October 4, 2008, Cousin Mark Fox's house, Ardmore, Pennsylvania
We slept well in comfortable beds and I didn't get up till 8:30 to update the blog. Later in the morning, Mark gave me a tour of the area and bought us all some bagels and doughnuts. Then he beat me in a horseshoe type game in the backyard. We had a nice relaxing time resting. In the afternoon, Becky, John, and I rode the bikes from the police station to Mark's house, about 4 miles. Then Mark bought everyone Wendy's lunch. ...
Well, I never finished the day. It's been busy. For dinner that night, Mark picked up some pizzas and Kathy made some brownies and we had ice-cream too.

Hi,
What a wonderful time you are having! What a great education to go to all the Washington Museums and also Gettysburg and Philadelphia. When we read about your night at Triangle,Va, it brought back great memories. That is where Jack and I lived when we were first married and he was in basic school in Quantico. Pastor Moon is doing well and comes to school each day now. YOu are in our prayers.
Love,
Fran and Jack

Greetings Fox Family,

Hello from Atlanta, Georgia!! My mom is the pastor of the church you spent the night at in Kent, CT. She told me about your trip and pointed me towards your blog. What an amazing experience!! I drove cross-country with a friend in college and I'll never forget it. I can't even imagine the beauty you can see on bike.

Blessings and Traveling Mercies!!

Thanks everyone for your prayers and encouragement. We are almost to Portland now; we'll probably arrive tomorrow. It's been a memorable trip and even though it's been long, I wish the enchantment could continue indefinitely. I know I will look back and it will seem like a dream, but I'm glad I was able to share this dream with my family. It will always be a special memory, a special time that we shared together before everyone splinters off in the course of life. We will have this memory to draw us together to reminisce during reunions and we'll always have the journals to read and laugh at. Anyway, thanks again for encouraging us along the way.
